Travel Tip

When we board a plane we are all very excited to see the seat next to us empty. Here are a couple tips that will better your chances of scoring two seats on your next flight.

1. Check in online: When you check in online, 24 hours before your flight, you can usually see all the empty seats on the plane. At this point change your seat so that you choose one that is next to an empty one. Chances are in the next few hours that seat will not be sold.

2. Be the last on: Unless I have a huge about of carry on baggage, I always try to be the last on the flight. Not only does it prevent you from standing in another annoying line but you can glance around and see where two empty seats are together. Since you are the last (or close to it) on the plane you know they will not be taken and you can move to them right away.
